The decision to redo the girls bedroom was made primarily due to the fact that Colette, who is almost 3, was still in her crib. First I had to take down their wallpaper. I thought it would be similar to other wallpaper in our home, which was much fairly easy to remove. But this type took a little more work. Once it was done it made a huge difference! Then I got to work painting, and Josh began putting the new bed together. Our house was quite a disaster zone for a while! 

We had been gifted this BEAUtiful dresser from a friend! I bought glass knobs, and painted the existing hardware. Then I gave the dresser a nice sanding. I love the organic wood look that it has!

My first shopping trip was to Goodwill where I found a surprising amount of awesome items for the room. I found this cute little table which I painted with chalk paint, and soon after was scraped off… Oh well LOL. I also found a log planter which I painted white.

We decided to buy the girls a be a loft bed and turn it into a bunkbed. Our original thought was to put their bed in the closet so as to save more room in the floor. But it was just a few inches too large so we decided to make a book nook! I had leftover tulle from our wedding, and I found curtain rings at Goodwill! It has to be the coziest place in the house and they love it! It took us about five days total to finish. The first two we had friends and family help watch the girls which was a huge help. After that I worked on it here and there throughout the day when I could. I'm so happy with the results and the girls love their book nook almost as much as I do! 😜
